First Maine child dies of flu this season, health officials say
Health officials said Maine has recorded the first flu-related death of a child this season.The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention said the child was from southern Maine and was younger than 5 years old.The child did not get their flu shot this season and tested positive for influenza B, officials said.No other information has been released about the child’s death.”We express our deep condolences to the family for their loss,” said Nirav D.
